Lyttelton Information and Resource Centre Charitable TrustTrust VisionThe Trust is a hub of the Lyttelton Harbour Basin, facilitating the flow of quality community and visitor information.* Building pride in the local community * Working with Council and local organisations * Developing an awareness of our unique cultural landscape * Promoting the Harbour Basin as a healthy place to stay, play and train * Maintaining a friendly and vibrant atmosphere in all our dealings * Creating a very special visitor experience * Being sustainable Achievements * Created a township information centre in 1996 * Researched the townships history * Developed maps, walks, promotions, directories * Provided base for community activities including the community festivals * Collated all the information to register Lyttelton as an historic area * Attempted to become more financially independent by mananaging Tunnel Vision Backpackers * Re-organised the business to operate as an agency agreement within Anchor Fine Arts and linked to Project Port Lyttelton and the Business Association to retain strong links with the community. * Relocated to 20 Oxford St as a stand alone information centre in August 2008 * Developed a Visitor Cluster Group * Created a community art display * Developed a new town centre map |
